This Skinny Mocha Smoothie is a totally delicious way to get your daily caffeine. Dairy free, vegan & no refined sugars – skip the coffee shop and have this guilt free Mocha instead!Lately, my jeans have been feeling rather tight. And I really don’t have an excuse. It’s not the holidays, I haven’t been too busy to go to the gym. I’ve just been having zero willpower 100% of the time.
So, time to get into gear with a healthy recipe. But since I’m treat obsessed – it’s going to be a healthy, chocolatey recipe.
Skinny Mocha Smoothie it is.
Thick, creamy, chocolatey & with a jolt of caffeine. It tastes just as delicious as one of those 5 dollar, 500 calorie iced mochas – but without the price tag, intense sugar rush, whipped cream coma or diet fail.
Now, I’m no nutritionist – but this shake has nothing to feel bad about. It’s sweetened with banana and honey (or agave for vegans), and made with almond milk to cut out the fat (and make it lactose-friendly for all my non-dairy friends). Using a frozen banana and a few ice cubes makes it thick and creamy. Then a spoonful of cocoa powder for that delicious chocolate taste.
As for the coffee – I used one packet of instant coffee powder or enough instant coffee powder to make one, 240 mL/ 8 oz cup of coffee. The smoothie definitely has a strong coffee flavor, so if you prefer a milder coffee taste you could half the amount of instant coffee powder used.
So whether you’re trying to be healthy, looking for a delicious way to get your daily caffeine, don’t have time to stop at Starbucks, or just want a delicious drink…. This Skinny Mocha Smoothie is for you.

Thanks so much Marisa! I never seem to have any time in the morning – so I always love finding quick recipes that don’t fall into the boring breakfast routine. I hope you like it!
This was amazing! i only had sugar handy so ended up using that and since there was just a pinch of the cocoa powder left in the bag I put it in and it tasted great! Light, flavorful and so delicious! This is going on one of my repeats now!
