A deliciously soft Cranberry Orange Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. Bursting with fresh oranges and dotted with tart cranberries – this is the perfect simple cake for your holiday baking!
Have you started holiday baking yet? I love to start taste testing experimenting early to get myself in the holiday mood to ensure I’m well prepared for Christmas.
Plus, when fresh cranberries are in season – how could you not resist???
So today I’m sharing with you this delicious Cranberry Orange Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. It’s a perfectly moist, super tender vanilla cake that’s flavored with fresh oranges and filled with cranberries. Then it’s frosted with tangy cream cheese frosting. I love that it’s made in a big 9×13 inch pan so there’s no need to worry about cake layers or fancy decorating techniques.
I topped each piece with a few sugared cranberries and fresh orange zest for extra decoration. It’s such a simple decorating technique, but looks so beautiful and festive.
I’m sharing the recipe over on Oh Sweet Basil – which is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL blog with recipes from Carrian and Cade. So head on over to Oh Sweet Basil to get the full recipe and details here!
What are you looking forward to baking this holiday season? I keep dreaming of gingerbread, cranberries, cookies, fudge…. But this Cranberry Orange Cake is definitely earning on a spot on this year’s baking list!
This recipe is SO GOOD. We made at christmastime but it could definitely be made for any season as it’s no *so* seasonal. Anyway it’s easy to make, not too sweet and has a really great icing. LOVE!
