Dairy free, sugar free & only 5 ingredients – this Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana smoothie tastes indulgent but is completely diet approved.
If you’re anything like me, Fridays mean healthy eating goes out the window and indulgence sets in until Monday. This past weekend was no exception; there was wine, chocolate cake, ice cream cake, muffins…. Just about everything that tastes delicious and doesn’t exactly scream bikini.
So now that the weekend’s over, it’s time to get back to having some ounce of self control. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t have something delicious.
This chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie is thick and creamy with the perfect pairing of banana and peanut butter. Then there’s a hint of chocolate from adding cocoa powder. The smoothie feels indulgent, but it’s completely healthy eating approved.
The banana & peanut butter make this smoothie thick like a milkshake, then using almond milk creates the perfect creamy texture without the dairy or the fat. Total Win Win! It’s sweetened naturally from the banana & by adding a little honey. I used unsweetened almond milk, but if you use sweetened you may not even need the honey.
Thick & indulgent but totally healthy eating approved. This smoothie is perfect for breakfast, a post-workout snack or when you’re craving ice cream. 5 ingredients and ready in 5 minutes – it’ll be your new best friend.

I could live off of this, it’s sooooo delicious! Just wondering – what kind of blender do you use?
I have a Magic Bullet that I love for making single serving smoothies. There’s way less cleanup than using my full sized blender.
